Horse in the City LLC is a new, equestrian company focusing on the needs of horses living in Los Angeles and other urban areas. We have released our first product, Knight Bright Trail Lights, for riders on shared trails after dark.
The inspiration for Horse in the City LLC came from three friends with a horse who found themselves living and working in horse zoned areas of Los Angeles. We found that there are a number of unique aspects of city life with horses. The shared public trails and facilities mean you will meet joggers, dogs and other horses on every ride, the large horse (and human) populations mean that you have limited space around your stall and tack rooms, and the limited space also means that your horse doesn't have the ability to exercise himself and needs to be worked or ridden everyday. The question then is; why, with all of these problems do people keep horses in urban areas? The answer is that this is where we work and live, but we love the big silly pets and we like to be around them and to work with them. Thus, Horse in the City was created to help you enjoy your horse.
Horse in the City released their first product, Knight Bright Trail Lights. These lights are made to clip onto any tack to be worn after dark. Knight Bright Trail Lights came about when we noticed we couldn't see others on the trail and that others were as surprised to see us as we were to suddenly see them right in front of us. At cross walks we have seen cars slamming on their brakes when a horse steps out of the shadows and one night I even had a delivery truck honking at my car because I had stopped for a horse that he couldn't see. So we set out to design a horse light. Knight Bright Trail Lights are unique in that they use an additional diffusion technology that creates a glow that won't cast shadows. Knight Brights can be attached anywhere to any tack and are usable and washable. More information can be found on our website: www.HorseintheCity.com
Knight Bright Trail Lights will help riders enjoy their horses after they get off of work and give them the chance to ride in the evenings.
